About St Ives

Shanty Shout

St Ives Shanty Shout is organised in collaboration with the Edward Hain Centre.

St Ives Shanty Shout was started in 2016 by members of Bamaluz Bootleggers. They invited some friends to come and sing with them and raise some money for a good cause.

Bamaluz Bootleggers might not sing together anymore and venues have come and gone along the way, but the core idea proved to be very popular and is now an annual event.

Our current partner is the Edward Hain Centre (Charity Number: 1200936) who support health and wellbeing in St Ives

Groups - 2025

Over 30 groups are coming to our 9th St Ives Shanty Shout.

We're delighted that, once again, this includes Kimber's Men.

Our 2025 Venues

We'd like to thank all the venues for their sponsorship.

We're currently talking to cafes, hotels, bars and pubs about supporting us again this year.

The St Ives Shanty Shout venues are all within walking distance of each other in the centre of St Ives, Cornwall.

We look forward to welcoming you to St Ives

Please note that the performers and venues are subject to change, in the event of a group cancellation etc...
